Lumpy chrome ore from Zimbabwe's Great Dyke typically grades 38–46% Cr2O3 with a Cr/Fe ratio above 1.5. Mavura supplies run-of-mine 10–150mm by default, screened to buyer specification on request. Cargoes ship with full assays from SGS, Bureau Veritas or Intertek.

Chrome ore is the raw material, mined as lumps and shipped at run-of-mine sizing. Chrome concentrate is beneficiated through gravity and spiral plants to remove silica and lift the Cr2O3 grade, typically to 42–48%. Concentrate is preferred by ferrochrome smelters because of faster reduction kinetics and lower coke ratios. Mavura supplies both.

Chrome ore comes from the Great Dyke, a 550-kilometre belt running north to south through Zimbabwe and home to the world's largest known metallurgical-grade chromite deposits. Lithium spodumene is sourced from the Bikita field in Masvingo Province (about 11 million tonnes of resource) and the Goromonzi belt east of Harare. Manganese ore comes from operators in the Kwekwe area in the central Midlands.

Spodumene concentrate from the Bikita field typically grades 5.0–6.0% Li2O after beneficiation. Petalite is also available for the glass-ceramic market. Cargoes ship with cargo-specific assay reports.

Beira (Mozambique) for cargoes routed through the central corridor, Durban (South Africa) for southern routes, and Walvis Bay (Namibia) for west-coast shipments. Trucking from mine to port is bonded and runs through Mavura's Harare logistics desk.

In February 2026, Zimbabwe announced restrictions on raw mineral and lithium concentrate exports to push beneficiation onshore. Licence status changes by mineral and operator and is reviewed weekly by Mavura's compliance desk. We only quote against material we know we can move under current rules. FOB (free on board) at Beira, Durban or Walvis Bay is the default. CIF and CFR are supported on request, with marine cargo cover arranged through underwriters. We also handle ex-works pickup from consolidation yards in Harare for buyers who prefer to manage their own freight.

Standard manganese ore (35–46% Mn) is steel-grade and goes to ferromanganese and silicomanganese plants. For battery-grade applications (high-purity manganese sulphate feedstock), we source higher-purity material on request and arrange independent testing before shipment.

Bulk cargoes are typically 10,000–25,000 metric tonnes per shipment for chrome ore and manganese, and 5,000–10,000 metric tonnes for lithium concentrate. Smaller container shipments (around 25 MT each) can be arranged for sample orders or specialist applications.

Independent inspection at the mine weighbridge, again at consolidation, and a third time at the load port. Inspection bodies used: SGS, Bureau Veritas or Intertek depending on buyer preference. Quality and quantity certificates travel with the bill of lading.
